A few nights ago, I noticed a small leak in my tire. Not wanting to pay for a brand new tire if I didn't have to, I opted to wait until morning and visit a local tire shop to possibly get a plug or patch. I initially went to East Side Tire on Washington & Sherman, but they weren't open, so I stopped at Tire & Wheel Service. These guys were great! As soon as I arrived, I was able to pull up for my car to be serviced. The man tending to my tire pointed out that the two golf ball-sized knots on my tire meant it was going to blow at any moment, so he changed it. $34 (including $2 for them to dispose of the tire) and 15 minutes later and I was on my way to work. And they take credit card, which East Side Tire doesn't. I'll be back for my quick fix and used tire needs for sure.

Screws and nails in my tires bum me out. Yesterday I found two screws in one of my tires. How does this happen? Who is being so careless with their screws around town? The screws dared me to pull them out myself. "No way!" I told them remembering the time I accepted the dare of another screw years ago. i decided to take care of this problem professionally and headed to an east side tire repair place that I have previously used. Their hours said they would be open, but they were NOT. Damn. I then made the quick drive to this place and was quickly greeted by a man who shared with me some odd stories about his rough life... A bit odd for a guy you just met no more than two minutes ago. Regardless, he took care of the screws, checked for leaks, and filled my tires with air to a proper PSI. "How much?" I asked. "Whatever you can." he mumbled. Thank you Tire and Wheel Service!
